Flexicover
Construction: A compromise between hardcover and softcover. The cover is more sturdy than a standard softcover but less rigid than a hardcover. Made of flexible yet robust material.
Advantages: Provides excellent protection and durability, while being lighter and more flexible than a hardcover.
Appearance: Often appears more luxurious than a softcover, with a modern and professional look.
Disadvantages: Slightly more expensive than softcovers, and may not be as durable as hardcovers.
Another term for flexicover is integral binding.
